My name is Derek Herrera and I am a co-founder of Simply Structured. I started the in the electronics industry back in the early 2000's working at Visions Electronics in sales. I was placed in every department from video, home audio, car audio due to my natural charm. I was able to sell and understand people and what they needed. Over the years I developed a passion for the installation part this industry. I moved on to installing everything for your home, from televisions to home automation. Fast forward until 2008 and Simply was born, giving out clients a one stop shop for their vehicles and homes. When I'm not working you can usually find me at a hockey rink chasing my two boys around or at the dance studio cheering on my two girls letting loose. Also, I love travelling with my future wife.

Joel began his career in 12V electronics in the late 90’s with Visions Electronics as an installer. He also moved into Car Audio Sales. After almost five years there, he left and went to Future Shop where he went back to installing and worked up to Multi Bay Install Manager. He then decided having his own business was the way to go and Simply Structured was born. Besides being incredibly handsome, Joel also has an amazing memory of vehicles and wiring, making him perfect for the role of tech support. With the sales and installation background, Joel is able to assist both the sales and install teams with their daily routines while working remotely.

Jumping into the automotive accessory industry 35 years ago, (yes that makes me old), I have seen many changes in vehicles, technology and product offerings especially the growth in safety oriented products. I love every aspect of the job from sales/information to installation which is why I have never considered leaving the field. If you happen to see some tail wagging in the showroom it is because I sometimes will bring my dogs for a little bit of furry TLC.

I Installed my first car stereo system in the early 90s. This is how I caught the bug for car audio. Despite working in aircraft maintenance, driving heavy trucks, automotive refinishing/autobody and being a service advisor; I kept coming back to 12 volt installations and sales. During the summer months, I spend my spare time as a judge for car audio competitions around the province of Alberta, but during the winter, would much rather hibernate.

My name is Brad, I’m 37 years old and I’m married with 3 kids aged 17, 11 and 8. They keep me busy! I’m a 12-volt installer by day and a DJ by night. Passionate about creating seamless audio experiences, when the sun sets, you'll find me spinning beats, turning evenings and weekends into unforgettable dance floors.
